Múzeumok Éjszakája / Nights of the Museums
Izgalmas kiállításokkal és megannyi programmal várják a Múzeumok Éjszakája résztvevőit június 22-én Esztergomban.
2023-ban közel 7.000 látogatót regisztráltak a Múzeumok Éjszakája – Esztergom programjain. A fővároson kívül vidéken egyedül Esztergomban sikerül már hosszú évek óta összefogással egy olyan programot megvalósítani, melynek keretében egy éjszakára kinyit az összes helyi múzeum. Az este folyamán idén is több mint 10 kiállítóhelyet látogathattok meg, mindössze egy karszalag áráért. Részletekért kattints a linkre.
Exciting exhibitions and many programs await the participants of the Night of the Museums on June 22 in Esztergom.
In 2023, nearly 7,000 visitors were registered for the Night of Museums – Esztergom programs. Outside of the capital, Esztergom alone in the countryside has been able to implement a program for many years in which all the local museums are open for one night. Cathedral Treasury Esztergom
Az Esztergomi Bazilika első szintjén kapott helyet a kincstár, amely 1886-ban nyitotta meg kapuit azzal a céllal, hogy megőrizze és bemutathassa a főszékesegyház egykor használt liturgikus eszközeit, régi műkincseit és néhány műalkotást a XIX. századból. Érdemes tudni, hogy bár az Esztergomi Bazilika és a Főszékesegyházi Kincstára egyedül is bejárható, ugyanakkor csoportos tárlatvezetésekre és múzeumpedagógiai foglalkozásokra is be lehet jelentkezni a bazilika weboldalán.
The first floor of the Esztergom Basilica houses the Treasury, which opened in 1886 with the aim of preserving and displaying the liturgical instruments once used in the cathedral, old artworks and some works of art from the 19th century. It is worth noting that although the Esztergom Basilica and the Cathedral Treasury can be visited on your own, you can also register for group guided tours and educational museum sessions on the website of the basilica.

Az esztergomi érseki palotában található Keresztény Múzeum 1875-ben nyitotta meg kapuit a nagyközönség számára. Ez volt az ország harmadik látogatható múzeuma, azóta pedig hazánk leggazdagabb egyházi gyűjteményét őrzi falai között.
Sokan nem is gondolnák, pedig a budapesti Szépművészeti Múzeum és a Magyar Nemzeti Galéria után Esztergomban látható a magyar és nemzetközi művészettörténet legtöbb kiemelkedő darabja. A Keresztény Múzeum képtárában magyar, olasz, németalföldi, német és osztrák festők munkái sorakoznak, és bár jelentős az újkori, reneszánsz itáliai festészeti gyűjteménye, termeiben a késő középkorból is láthatók művészeti ritkaságok.
A múzeumban angol, német, francia és orosz nyelvű tárlatvezetés is elérhető, az állandó kiállítás pedig online is bejárható. A diákcsoportokat és családosokat múzeumpedagógiai foglalkozásokkal, múzeumi felfedezővel és ifjúsági tárlatvezetéssel várják.
The Museum of Christian Art in the Archbishop's Palace in Esztergom opened its doors to the public in 1875. It was the third museum in the country open to visitors, and since then it has housed the richest ecclesiastical collection in the country.
Many would not even think, but after the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest and the Hungarian National Gallery, Esztergom is home to most of the most outstanding items of Hungarian and international art history. The picture gallery of the Museum of Christian Art houses works by Hungarian, Italian, German, German Lowland and Austrian painters, and although it has a significant collection of modern and Renaissance Italian painting, it also houses rare works from the late Middle Ages.
The Museum offers guided tours in English, German, French and Russian, and the permanent exhibition can be visited online as well. Student groups and families are welcome to participate in the Museum’s education programmes, the museum explorer, or a guided tour for the young.
